Pit Crew Barbeque Team Takes Two Top 10's in National Capital BBQ Battle

This last weekend myself and our brand new Pit Crew Barbeque Competiton Team won Two Top 10's in the National Capital Barbeque Battle/National Pork Championship. I can't tell you how proud I am of the whole Team. Not just the [3] of us at the event but our Team Owners Steve and Bill for giving us this opportunity. Thanks guys for the backing, support and the best darn display a Team could ask for. Thanks!

This contest is really [2] different contest at the same location and same weekend so it's like racing back to back races. The first day was a Kansas City Barbeque Society Sanctioned Contest so we turned in Pork Shoulder, Pork Ribs, Beef Brisket and Chicken. In a KCBS Contest you can garnish the meat with Lettuce or Parsley to be turned in for Blind Box Judging. Sunday was a Memphis in May Contest and we turned in Pork Ribs for Blind Box Judging but No Garnish is allowed. In between all of this cooking and prepping we still had plenty of time to Meat&Greet with the public and even fans that tracked me down. Thanks for the kind words about my Cooking How-To Videos and the work we are doing with Pit Crew Barbeque and NASCAR.

One of the best things about competing is the People. The other Teams we competed against are the greatest bunch of guys and gals there are in the world. Plus they have some of the funniest Team Names in the World. hehehe "Yummy Animals BBQ Team" is one that comes to mind.

When it was all said and done our Pit Crew Barbeque got two "Calls" for 9th Place Pork and an 8th Place Pork Ribs and were at a very respectable 17th Over All out of 50 of the Best Teams in the Nation. The Weekend went to Tuffy and "Cool Smoke" for the KCBS Contest and the Man in Black Myron Mixion's "Jack's Old South" BBQ Team in the Memphis in May Contest. Congratulations guys you both deserve it! I want to personally thank Tuffy and Myron for their friendship these years and am thankful for the time we got to spend together this weekend. I wish I could tell you the kind things and encouragement Myron had for me and him wanting me and the Pit Crew Barbeque Team set up next to him next year. Pictures and Videos Available in our Gallery.

This picture is Dobbie, Myself and Myron Mixion Saturday night in our Booth having a few... Pops.

So, how did we do so well for the first time out you ask? Well, a lot of hard work from Steve&Bill down to Bradford, Steve and Myself and also wives Michele and Terri. Yes we had a secret weapon too... Pit Crew Barbeque PORK RUB and TENNESSEE SMOKE BBQ SAUCE. The very same RUBS & SAUCES we sell here at PitCrewBarbque.Com we use to Compete with so you can have the same Award Winning Rubs and Sauces for you Tailgating Event too by clicking PIT SHOP at the top of the page.

Congrats Team!!
