Safeway's National Capital Barbeque Battle

 I'm very honored to be Competing again at Safeway's National Barbeque Battle this June 27th&28th, 2009. With the help of Steve and Bill here at Pit Crew Barbeque as well and our great affiliates like Budwieser Racing and Busch Racing and our Good Friends at Motorsports Racing Network. Thanks to you all.


Now about this event. It's not just another BBQ Contest as this one is not only in the Nation's Capital and on Pennsylvania Ave but it's actually [2] Two Different Sanctioned Contest [ KCBS & MIM ] on the same weekend which mean $40,000 Prize Money and a chance to National Championships! It's ALL about Winning in NASCAR and the same in Competition BBQ.

I did this contest in 2006 my Rookie Season and did walk away with a 3rd Place Pork in the KCBS DC Lottery's Barbeque Challenge on that Saturday and 10th Place Ribs in the Memphis in May Contest on Sunday. I've learned much in the past couple years and I have my eyes on the Prize and that Victory Lane or a #1 in one or Categories or more.


Not only will we be there competing but are looking forward to see our good friends and fellow competitors who we've got to know these years including the Mid Atlantic BBQ Association folks.. With 150,000 people foot traffic we are bound to meet many, many new friends too. We sure hope you get a chance to make it out to this event this year but if not PUT IT ON THE CALENDAR for next year folks.
