Race Report: Nothing Says Racing Like Bristol Motor Speedway

It's no wonder that more folks when given a choice of only attending one race would rather go to Bristol then to Daytona or Indianapolis. I agree because the racing is so much better on this 1/2 Mile Oval set in the scenic Tennessee Mountains that it really is the Heart of Racing in my opinion.

With 36 degree Turns and even 16 degree Straights the Drivers can really get up on the wheel and they like to drive very fast and very close to each other. I always think that Dirt Track and Flat Track Drivers have a slight advantage on these smaller tracks. So look for your Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin and those boys to have great races. Don't count Jeff Gordon out either as he is gaining momentum this season.

For Tailgating make sure to wear comfortable Hiking Shoes or Boots for the very steep inclines around the track and also getting to your seats. When Mr Burton bought the track back in 1996 he added more seating so you will be watching this great race with 160,000 of your closest friends. Take time while near the Track to enjoy the beautiful Tennessee Mountains and meet some of the locals as they are very friendly too.

We should get a good look today in the first Practice and then Qualifying as to who will be the guy to beat in the Food City 500 at Bristol on Sunday.

Go fast and no right turns!

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
